During the International Polar Year 2007/2008, the Alfred Wegener Institute has committed to provide an internet resource for scientists, media and for everyone interested in the research programmes and activities of the Polar Year.   In this framework, all weekly reports on board of R.V. Polarstern have been attractively displayed (in both german and english) so as to provide interesting insights about scientists life and research in ice and snow.
